"You're not dying. You just can't think of anything good to do."
The strange nature of my blog explained:
Q: Why did you start a blog?
A: I decided to start a blog simply because it's something I've always wanted to do. I've always been held back by the idea that no one ever reads these things.
Q: Where did your blog title come from?
A: It's a quote from the classic movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". Toward the beginning of the movie, Cameron claims the he is dying, and Ferris tells him that he's not dying, he just can't think of anything good to do.
Q: What the heck is the meaning of your URL?!?!?
A: Just like the title, it came from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". There is a scene in the movie where a kid is collecting money in a Pepsi can and he says it's to buy Ferris a new kidney.
Q: Why all the Ferris Bueller stuff?
A: Bwahaha! Well, I love Ferris! I mean, I love what the movie stands for- you know, living life to the fullest. I actually debated over several Ferris quotes before settling on the ones I used. To me, boredom is awful- it's like death. But it is always your own fault because you can't think of anything good to do! When I start to feel boredom coming on, I think of something fun to do, I do it, then I blog about it. The new-kidney-thing is like, the cure for boredom. They wanted to get Ferris a kidney to heal his [fake] illness. Ferris cured his own boredom with taking a day off. I attend to my boredom with this blog.
